John Coltrane ist ein perfektes Beispiel für einen Künstler, dem es nicht ausreichte, einfach nur ein Musiker zu sein. Natürlich war er ein großer Komponist, der einige der komplexesten und interessantesten Musikstücke geschrieben hat, die es heute auf diesem Planeten gibt. Es ist für mich zurzeit sehr wichtig, mich mit dem musikalischen Denken großer Musiker zu beschäftigen, und John Coltrane ist da keine Ausnahme. Ich bin glücklich und stolz, ein Teil der Tradition großer Musiker aus Philadelphia zu sein – Musiker, die hier gelebt, gearbeitet, aufgetreten und gestorben sind in dieser, wie man sagt, Stadt der “Brüderlichen Liebe”. COLTRANE CONFIGURATIONS ist ein Projekt, von dem ich inständig hoffe, dass es in der Tradition und im Geiste von John Coltranes Musik steht. Es ist immer eine Ehre, einem musikalischen Giganten und spirituellen Menschen die Ehre zu erweisen. Das ist John Coltrane – eine Form überirdischer Liebe. Jamaaladeen Tacuma

Of course, he was a great composer who wrote some of the most complex and interesting pieces of music that exist on this planet today. It is very important for me at the moment to deal with the musical thinking of great musicians, and John Coltrane is no exception. I am happy and proud to be a part of the tradition of great musicians from Philadelphia musicians who have lived, worked, performed and died here in this, as they say, city of „Brotherly Love“. COLTRANE CONFIGURATIONS is a project that I sincerely hope will be in the tradition and spirit of John Coltrane’s music. It is always an honor to honor a musical giant and spiritual person.
