The titles of this music are as much a play on words as it’s content is a play on musical idioms and abstraction based on the 30-year-old ‚Ground Music‘ concept developed while composing for Blue Collar, the Andreas Willers Octet and Montauk among others, striving for further development of a contemporary European jazz language.

Die Titel dieser Musikstücke sind ebenso ein Spiel mit Worten wie ihr Inhalt ein Spiel mit musikalischen Idiomen und deren Abstraktion basierend auf dem 30 Jahre alten ‚Ground Music‘-Konzept ist, entwickelt in der Kompositionsarbeit u.a. für Blue Collar, dem Andreas Willers Octet und Montauk zur angestrebten Weiterentwicklung einer zeitgenössischen europäischen Jazzsprache.
Ich möchte den Unterstützern und Promotern von 7 of 8 und allen Musikern aus der Berliner Szene danken, die in diesem Projekt seit 2013 zu verschiedenen Zeiten aktiv waren. Andreas Willers, Februar 2020
