Ich mag dieses große Instrument mit all seinen Facetten und seinen Timbres (außer wenn ich auf Reisen bin).
Deshalb war es für mich wichtig, der Gruppe den richtigen Namen zu geben. BARIONDA! Baritonsaxophonwirrwarr, auch Baritonwelle, abgeleitet aus dem italienischen ‚baraonda‘, ‚Durcheinander, Konfusion‘. Aber es ist viel mehr als das.
ROSSANO EMILI
Einen berühmten italienischen Film zitierend: „…es kann eisern und es kann federleicht sein“. Plump und elegant, ruppig und zart, aristokratisch und einfach, wuchtig und flatternd, es ist das ideale Instrument, um die zahlreichen Facetten der menschlichen Seele zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Ich vergöttere es.
MASSIMILIANO MILESI
Vier Baritonsaxophone sind wie Dickhäuter in der Instrumentalwelt. Aber die große Überraschung liegt in der Entdeckung ihrer Leichtigkeit und Vielseitigkeit.
Die Klangmöglichkeiten dieses Instruments offenbaren seine elegante Seele. Zwei Schlagzeuger verleihen dieser Eleganz etwas Ungestümes, das über den Rock hinausgeht.

I just love this huge instrument in all its facets and timbres (except when I’m travelling). This is why I put some effort into giving the band the right name: BARIONDA! A clutter or baritone sax sounds, or baritone wave, derived from the Italian word ‚baraonda‘, meaning ‚clutter, confusion‘. But it is much more than that.

To quote from a famous Italian movie: „… it can be heavy as iron or light as a feather.“ Plump and elegant, gruff and delicate, aristocratic and simple, massive and fluttering, it is the ideal instrument to express the many facets of the human soul. I just adore it.
