Dieses Stück fiel mir bei einer Familientour auf die Muttekopfhütte ein.
Der SCHNACKAR BICHL ist der Hügel über meinem Heimatdorf. Dort ist es bei jedem Wetter schön, vor allem, wenn die Alpen glühen.
POUR NORBERT ZONGO
Eine Widmung an einen Journalisten aus Burkina Faso, der von der dortigen Regierung ermordet wurde. Ich schrieb das Stück während einer Afrika-Tour mit SHREEFPUNK, als wir ein Konzert an seinem Todestag hatten und widme es allen mutigen Journalistinnen und Journalisten dieser Welt.
HUMAN BEINGS
Das Stück soll sowohl die negativsten als auch positivsten Eigenschaften des Menschen vertonen. Es enthält den Rhythmus der Fibonacci-Folge in einem 33-Viertel-Takt während des Flöten- und Flügelhorn-Solos, später geht es in einen 51-Achtel-Takt über.
HOLZ GEGEN BLECH
Oft kann man Spannungen auflösen, indem man sie vorher erhöht. Ein musikalisch-psychologisches Stück in dem sich die verschiedenen Instrumentengruppen in einen Spannungshöhepunkt spielen. Aber keine Angst, es geht gut aus.
ELEPHANZ CROSS
Als ich mit Amith auf Tour in Indien war, kam plötzlich ein wilder Elefant etwa 30m vor unserem Auto auf die Straße. Ein langer Stau bildete sich, weil der Elefant in der Mitte der Straße stehen blieb. Nach einer Stunde ging er wieder zurück auf die Seite, von der er gekommen war und ich hatte ein neues Stück für einen Klimakleber-Elefanten.
ROLLIN‘ BANGALORE
Dieses Stück ist inspiriert von einer Motorroller-Fahrt mit Amith durch Bangalore, wo man eine Symphonie aus Autohupen erlebt. Wir können nicht nur musikalisch, sondern auch verkehrstechnisch sehr viel aus Indien lernen. Wenn es doppelt so viele Autos bei uns geben würde, hätten wir automatisch Tempo 30 in allen Innenstädten. Eine positive Entwicklung finde ich, dass die Autos hier immer größer werden und dadurch schon jetzt oft indische Enge erzeugt wird.

MUTTEKOPFHÜTTEN-BLUES
This piece came to me during a family trip to the Muttekopfhütte.
The SCHNACKAR BICHL is the hill above my home village. It’s beautiful there whatever the weather, especially when the Alps are glowing.
POUR NORBERT ZONGO
A dedication to a journalist from Burkina Faso who was murdered by the government there. I wrote the piece during an Africa tour with SHREEFPUNK when we had a concert on the anniversary of his death. It is dedicated to all the brave journalists in the world.
HUMAN BEINGS
The piece aims to set to music the most negative and most positive human characteristics. It contains the rhythm of the Fibonacci sequence in 33/4 time during the flute and flugelhorn solo, later changing to 51/8 time.
HOLZ GEGEN BLECH
One way of releasing the tension is to let it build up first. A musical-psychological piece in which the various instrumental groups merge into a climax of tension. But don’t worry, it all ends well.
ELEPHANZ CROSS
When I was on tour with Amith in India, a wild elephant suddenly walked onto the road about 30 meters in front of our car. The elephant stopped in the middle of the road and caused a long traffic jam. After an hour, it went back to the side from where it had come and I had a new piece for a “climate-gluer” activist elephant.
ROLLIN‘ BANGALORE
This piece is inspired by a scooter ride with Amith through Bangalore, where we experienced a symphony of car horns. We can learn a lot from India, not only musically, but also regarding traffic. If we had twice as many cars here, all our city centres would automatically have a 30 km/h speed limit. I think it’s a positive development that the cars here are getting bigger and bigger, often creating Indian-like congestion already.
