Die hier vorliegende Produktion wurde 1986 und 1987 im legendären „Haus der jungen Talente“ in Ostberlin aufgezeichnet. Der Gitarrist Joe Sachse war mit George Lewis und David Moss in den 80er Jahren jeweils auf ausgedehnter Duotournee. Freiheit und Abenteuerlust kennzeichnen das musikalische Aufeinandertreffen zweier Jazz-kontinente, gepaart mit spielerischem, ja fast ironisch-satirischem Umgang mit Standardmaterial – sozusagen posthum in Zeiten des „Eisernen Vorhangs“ den Satz Kurt Tucholskys beachtend, dass „wegen ungünstiger Witterung die deutsche Revolution in der Musik stattfand“.
